We take the privacy and safety of every child seriously. Photographs taken during Photo Day will only be used for the purposes outlined in the photography consent form and the products selected by families.

Photographs will be handled securely and with care. Images will not be shared publicly, used for advertising or promotional purposes without the appropriate consent.

​

Families are encouraged to carefully read the Photography Consent Form and to contact the centre or photographer if they have any questions about how photographs will be taken, printed and stored.

Please note: Only children with a completed and returned consent form will participate in Photo Day.

 

About Little People Photography 

 

Little People Photography is proudly privately owned and operated in South Australia by Tyne, who has been capturing special memories for thousands of families for nearly 10 years.

 

Tyne is passionate about creating a relaxed, positive and enjoyable photography experience for every child. On Photo Day, she is kind, caring and patient, taking the time to meet and connect with each child and allowing them to feel comfortable in front of the camera.

We understand that every child is unique, and we never expect every child to respond to the camera in the same way. Our goal is to make Photo Day as smooth, relaxed and enjoyable as possible for children, families, educators and staff.

Ordering Photographs & Consent 

 

• Photograph ordering information and consent forms are sent to families three weeks prior to Photo Day.

• Families can choose to pay for their photographs by:

  • placing cash securely inside the provided ordering envelope 

  • making payment via bank transfer using the details provided on the ordering form by Little People Photography

• Consent forms must be returned before Photo Day.

• Only children who have a completed and returned consent form will be photographed on the day.

• Children without a returned consent form will not be photographed

 

 

When completing the photography order form, families will also have the opportunity to advise Little People Photography if they do not wish for their child to be included in the class/group collage photograph.

Families can select a photography package without the class collage photograph if they do not wish their child to appear in the group image.

Only children who have provided consent to be photographed will be included in the care group collage photograph. Children without consent will not appear in the collage.

 

 

Personal Information for the Photographer

 

To organise Photo Day and ensure each child’s photographs are correctly identified, the photographer may require limited personal information

 

• Guardian/parent name

• Childcare group or care-group name

• Guardian/parent email address

• Guardian/parent phone number

• Photography order details, such as package selected, photographs ordered, and payment/order information

• Any information needed to organise photography sessions and deliver the requested orders

 

Any personal information provided to the photographer will be treated confidentially and used only for purposes related to the photography session, processing orders and delivering photographs.

Personal information and photographs will be handled securely and in accordance with the permissions provided on the Photography Consent Form. Personal information will only be kept for as long as necessary to complete the photography process and deliver the photographs to the childcare centre, which is approximately three weeks. Once the photographs have been delivered to the centre, your personal information will be returned to you together with your photographs.

 

 

Photography Privacy & Storage

 

All childcare photographs will be stored securely on our internal business server for a maximum of two years, after which they will be permanently removed.

 

If you would like your child’s photographs removed from our server/records once you have received your photographs, please contact us and we will arrange for them to be removed earlier.

Once all families have received their printed photographs, families will be able to request their digital copies via email. Digital photographs will be sent directly to the email address provided by the family.

For your privacy and security, we do not use online galleries to distribute or display children’s photographs.

Working With Children Checks

 

All of our photographers hold a current Working With Children Check (WWCC) and are appropriately screened to work with children.

 

The safety, wellbeing and privacy of every child are our highest priority, and we are committed to providing a safe and professional environment throughout Photo Day.

 

Childcare Photography Printing & Privacy

 

Little People Photography uses a trusted Australia owned and operated professional printing company to produce printed photographs and photography products for families.

 

To protect the privacy of children, the information provided to the printing company will be kept to a minimum. The child’s first name only will be provided where required to identify and process the photography order.

No additional personal information about the child will be provided to the printing company unless it is necessary to fulfil the order and has been appropriately authorised.

We take the privacy of children and families seriously and ensure that personal information is handled carefully throughout the photography and printing process.

Communication & Choices for Childcare Photography

 

At Little People Photography, we believe clear communication and family choice are an important part of creating a positive and respectful photography experience for every child.

Families will be provided with information and consent forms before Photo Day, allowing them to make informed choices about their child’s participation and how their photographs may be used.

Families can:

​

• Choose whether or not their child participates in Photo Day by completing the photography consent form.

• Select packages they would like to purchase.

• Choose whether their child is included in the class collage photograph.

• Request the removal of their child’s photographs from our server after receiving their photographs.

• Contact Little People Photography with any questions, concerns or specific requests before or after Photo Day.

• Let us know about any preferences that may help their child feel comfortable during their photography session.

 

 

We understand that every child is unique. Our photographers will work closely with educators and families to create a comfortable, relaxed and enjoyable experience, allowing children to be themselves and capturing their individual personalities, beautiful smiles and special moments.

Your child, your choice. We respect every family’s decision and are always happy to communicate with you to ensure you feel comfortable with the photography process.

 

 

Photography Equipment & Mobile Phone Policy

 

The photographer’s equipment will be set up safely and professionally, with the safety and wellbeing of all children, families and staff our highest priority. Equipment will be positioned carefully to minimise any potential trip hazards and to ensure a safe photography environment.

 

For the privacy and safety of all children, mobile phones are not permitted to be used on the centre grounds during Photo Day.

If the photographer needs to make or receive an important phone call, they will do so outside of the centre premises.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in helping us maintain a safe, secure and child-friendly environment throughout Photo Day.

 

 

Photograph Delivery

 

All photographs will be delivered privately and securely to the childcare centre.

​

Printed photographs will be delivered approximately three weeks after Photo Day.

We take great care to ensure all photographs are packaged securely and delivered safely to the centre for distribution to families.

 

 

Childcare Photography Refund Policy

 

At Little People Photography, we understand that children can have good days and not-so-good days, and sometimes a child may simply not feel comfortable having their photograph taken.

 

If you are not happy with your child’s photographs from Photo Day, please contact us. We are more than happy to discuss your concerns and, where appropriate, provide a refund for your photography order.

We also understand that a child may not feel like having their photograph taken on the day. There is no pressure or obligation for a child to participate. If your child becomes uncomfortable or does not wish to have their photograph taken, they can opt out of the photography session.

Our priority is to ensure every child feels safe, comfortable and respected throughout Photo Day.

 

We want every family to be happy with their photographs and the service we provide. Because photography products are individually prepared and printed to each family’s order, refunds are generally not available once an order has been processed or photographs have been printed.

If there is an issue with your order, such as:

• Incorrect photographs supplied

• Damaged or faulty prints

• Missing items from your order

• An error made by Little People Photography

 

 

please contact us as soon as possible. We will review the issue and, where appropriate, arrange a replacement or other suitable resolution.

If Photo Day is cancelled or we are unable to provide the photography service, families will be contacted and appropriate arrangements will be made regarding their orders and payments.
